Some visiting

Our Vancouver, WA visit was good. Mom had a procedure done a couple weeks prior to our visit to remove some basal cell skin cancer on her nose. Her nose may have been covered with gauze but she didn’t let it keep her from taking us out to dinner 3 times while we were visiting! We also took Mom out to my sister’s and had a great visit with everyone.

We’ve been back at Jim & Kathy’s (Dave’s brother & sis-in-law) for almost two weeks now. We are staying in our trailer parked back behind their house. For the most part our couple of weeks have been quiet but there were two short trips; the first trip was a sad one, a funeral of a friend, only 69, over in Grandview, WA. However the funeral led to seeing a number of friends we hadn't seen for a while. As a matter of fact through the funeral we ended up hooking-up with some friends that are now living in Westport, WA, friends we haven’t seen for years. So yesterday it was off to Westport for a terrific visit with our friends Al & Gloria.

It happened to be Rusty Scupper Pirate Daze in Westport so along with our visit we all took in some of the festivities. A good sized crowd, some live music, lots of vendors and food booths. Al & Gloria drove us around the area a bit also, it’s a nice little community. All-in-all an exceptionally fun day.

Visiting

Last week was busy, busy, busy with visiting friends and family in the Yakima Valley. We stayed in Prosser, WA at the Wine Country RV Park. It is close to centrally located for us with friends/family stretching about 50 miles to the west and about 40 miles to the east. It’s always fun to be in our old stompin’ grounds again. Besides some terrific visits we also went to some favorite restaurants and got a few appointments taken care of.

Currently we are in Vancouver, WA visiting with my Mom. We’ll be here for a few more days before we head back to the Chehalis, WA area. It’s actually supposed to make it up to 80 degees this weekend here in Vancouver…we are looking forward to it!
