Wilderness Lakes

We’ve been at Thousand Trails Wilderness Lakes for a week now. So far we haven’t done anything particularly exciting, a little shopping and a hair cut here in Menifee, a trip to Costco in Lake Elsinore, CA and lots of relaxing. Of course there have been many walks around the park, also to the big empty field that is next to the park. Cheye can be off her leash in the field and run to her heart’s content.

Photos of the birds that are here in the park is another pastime. We take a lot of the same photos when we are here, but hey, the birds are pretty! I haven’t seen the Great Blue Herons this time and the Egrets are being somewhat allusive, but lots of ducks, geese and another bird that I don’t know what it is. A photo of the unknown-to-me bird is top left…any ideas? I’m sure it is a common bird but we didn't have them in eastern Washington!

Photos
Top left: not sure what kind of bird this is

Your bird looks like some sort of Egret, don't you think?
We've never been to that particular Thousand Trails. Love to see the pictures you post. Definitely looks like one we'll be checking out!

Hi! I always think of Egret and Heron as having long necks but I found a photo of a Green Heron that doesn't have the long neck...so... I'll have to do some more surfing and look at Egrets this time.

Thanks, I've visited your blog too. Love your layout and photos. They are so big!

hi Dave and Lori..have been following you for a quite a while.noticed the picture of Cheye in the enclosure?..how big is the fencing and where did you purchase it..great idea instead of having to tie Cheye up..we also have a golden retriever and this would be fantastic for him too!!
thanks

Hi! We got the fencing at Camping World... here is the link: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/pet-fence/42217
We got 3 packages of the fencing (48 ft) for Cheye so she would have a little room. It has been great!! We had a long tie out for her but she would get it tangled and wrapped around stuff. Definitely one of our better purchases!

Lori, I thought you might be interested in how to make your photos large as well. Here's a link on how I do it from one of my blog buddies:
