Lots of Walks

It was a little drizzly this morning here in Paicines, CA, we sat outside under the awning with our little campfire going. Once the drizzle stopped we went for a walk around the park. It’s a nice park, a fair amount of big trees, greenery and open grassy areas.

We both did some reading after we got back to the trailer and after lunch I took Cheye for another short walk. Then after more reading and some computing we all went for yet another long walk around the park. I think all the walking we did today was due to all the sitting we did in the pickup yesterday. Our evening is going to be quiet, a little TV and computing. Pretty much a typical day…

Hi Lori,

It's me again. I have some suggestions for you in your area. We use to have friend you lived there and owned a big ranch, so we are pretty familiar with the area. Also, in the summer we travel to Monterey, Gilroy and Carmel - it seems like a second home. Anyway... not far from you is the town of Hollister and San Juan Bautistia. In both towns there is a very good Mexican restaurant called " Dona Esther" - good food. San Juan is also a very cute little town that has not changed much over the years. It has a beautiful mission there and a great main street to walk along.YOu can even see the San Andreas Fault line from the mission area. Although, Monterey and Carmel are much farther to drive to, it would be well worth your time to do so. Both towns have beautful coast lines and you can walk with your dog on a nice path. Carmel is very dog friendly! At the Monterey Wharf a good place for clam chowder and calamari is Old Fisherman's Grotto. The aquarium is also very interesting to visit. I could go on and on... we love that area so much. Wish it was affordable to live in, but then I guess that is why we RV - best of both worlds.

One more thing.....the Thousand Trails in Palm Springs/Palm Desert is nice if you can get in. It is always packed, but fun to park under the palm trees. Lots to see and do in this area as well.

Hope you don't mind me poking my nose into your travel plans :) Enjoy and I know you will be having fun! Sunni
