Chilly today

I’m cold today, it was cloudy, windy, drizzling and in the mid 50’s. here in Menifee, CA. Of course I can feel friends from the Yakima Valley rolling their eyes at that statement…I’m not sure it got over 35 degrees there and they have snow on the ground. It amazes me how quickly I have gotten used to warmer weather. When we took our walk today I wore a sweatshirt and heavy coat over my regular clothes. Guess I’m going to have to get some long johns!

Because of the weather it was another mostly-inside-day. Again I worked/played on computer stuff as did Dave. As I mentioned Dave, Cheye & I went on a long walk today, and that is the topic of my little video….

No not rolling my eyes but rather wishing it was me feeling cold in 50 degree weather!

I've been enjoying reading your blog. I would love to chat with you about how you chose your RV, and specifically its length, but I don't see any other way to communicate except with comments. My husband and I are undertaking a year of traveling and we're shopping for a fifth wheel right now. I found what seems like the "perfect" floor plan, except for its 35' (at least 3' longer than we initially wanted). Is it going to constrain our path too much when we travel throughout the country?

Hi Sharon,

The email link is on my profile page; lori@thetrailertales.com

Dave didn't want to pull anything longer than 30-32 feet for the ease, less weight, fuel mileage and the fact he had never pulled a trailer before. Now that we have been on the road we wouldn't have problem with 35'. It may hinder you in a few places but most parks are set up for those big ol' Class A's that can be 42'. Probably the place it would hinder you most would be the State or National parks as the sites there tend to be a little smaller.

I'm following your blog too...fun to watch your plans come together!
