Wilderness Lakes

We are at Thousand Trails Wilderness Lakes preserve which is just out of Menifee, CA (southeast of LA). It wasn’t too bad of a drive from Vegas, about 5 hours. On our way in to California we came to a inspection stop and since we had fruit and veggies in the trailer the inspector had to check them before we could bring them into the state. I’m happy to say we passed the inspection. I imagine most of the stuff was from California anyway!

Once here we set up camp, ate lunch, took Cheye out and then relaxed. Dave did go out and take some pictures. There are canals running through parts of the park and lots of ducks and geese in the canals. We really like the space we have, lots of room for sitting outside and enjoying the day or the evenings with our new propane campfire. I think we’re going to like this place just fine.

Looks like a nice camp. Glad to hear you had a safe trip to Menifee. Don't you just love having some stranger going through your frig? Have a relaxing day.

Lori,
Does it take awhile to upload pictures from your new camera? The pictures of the ducks is so perfect it almost looks fake. The color and details are so brilliant.

Marilyn,
Yeah, always fun to have someone look thru your stuff. Of course I'd rather have them look in my fridge than to have their job of looking thru other peoples fridge...yuk!

Robin,
That is so funny, Dave & I made the same comment about the ducks...that they looked fake! Yes it takes a little longer to upload from the camera to the pc and from the pc to the blog. It's not bad for either, for the blog I re-size them down from about 3216 x 2136 to 800 x 526 or it would probably take forever!
