We thought a visit to the Newport Aquarium and the Marine Science Center would be fun so this morning we went into Newport, got the oil changed in the pickup, went to Walmart and then over to the Marine Science Center. There is no charge to get into the Marine Science Center although they do ask for donations, $4.00 per adults is the “suggested donation”. It is an interesting place, not very large but still quite a few exhibits. A tank with an Octopus, a tidal pool display with creatures you can touch, tanks of different fish and shell fish. The Newport Aquarium is just a couple blocks away. It is fancier and costs $14.25 for adults. They have an aviary, tanks of fish, tide pools, otters, seals and lots of other creatures. All very well done and fun places to visit.

After the Aquariums we went to lunch, Chinese food today. Once we got back Dave took Cheye for a quick walk and we settled in for a quiet afternoon. It’s been breezy and foggy on and off all day. I took Cheye for a walk around 3:00, later Dave fixed himself some dinner as I was still stuffed from lunch.

Another pleasant day. Our outing was fun and I took lots of video. I’ll have to break it up into two parts at least as my internet connect isn’t the greatest here and it takes forever to upload long videos!

I have enjoyed reading about your adventure. My wife and are Canadian snowbirds based in Alberta for the summers but this year will be heading down the west coast to Southern California, Arizona and maybe over into southern Texas for a bit. Keep up the commentary it's like having a scout out in front of us.
